Pete Cattell at Badminton - an eventing owner's perspective

Pete Cattell and Di Brunsden at Le Haras Du Pin in 2013

We first met event horse owners Pete Cattell and his wife Di Brunsden at Le Haras du Pin in 2013 where Mark Todd was riding their horse Oloa. It turned out that this was not the only horse of Mark’s that they owned - the relationship started with Major Milestone, a horse that competed at Badminton in 2011 and 2013 before being retired and they also had a nice up and coming young horse called Leonidas II

Now 13 years old, Leonidas II has become one of Mark’s top horses, finishing fourth at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials in 2015 and 2016 and seventh at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, fulfilling Pete’s Twitter profile wish

“Love golf, horses and Mrs C (not in that order!).......dream of getting one of our horses to the Olympics”

This video gives a great overview of an event horse owner’s perspective of being at Badminton. Follow Pete and Di’s journey through the 2016 Badminton Horse Trials as they follows their horse Leonidas II competing with Mark and we wish them the best of luck for Badminton 2017!
