The spectators needed their wet weather gear at Yorkshire's 'summer' event - the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials - where intermittent rain on Saturday made riding Ian Stark's cross country course even more testing and and the riders needed their 'brave pants' on

Check out some of Saturday's highlights below with our full report to come early next week ........

Kitty King and Vendredi Biats moved into pole position in the Equi-Trek CCI-L4* class with a double clear round when overnight leader Pippa Funnell had a run out on Billy Walk On

Gemma Tattersall took the win in the CCI-S4* on Quicklook V and is currently also in second place in the Equi-Trek CCI-L4* on Jalapeno III

It was a challenging course for the British Horse Feeds CCI-L4* U25 field with nearly half the field not completing. Yasmin Ingham (above) appealed penalties for jumping outside the flags and, with their removal, she took the lead on her dressage score. There were plenty of heart stopping moments on course for others, including the one below for France's Loicia Tirel, who did survive this 'moment' below and is currently in 14th place

Australia's Catherine Burrell and Duke jumped clear around the CCI4*-S with just time penalties for 34th place currently (above) while New Zealand's Lucy Jackson riding Superstition II moved up from 18th after dressage into 8th place in the CCI4*-L after a super double clear cross country ride
