Three Day Event Sunday mornings are centred around the Final Horse Inspection, and 28 combinations were presented before the 2022 Land Rover Burghley Ground Jury today.

Ultimately they would all be accepted to go forward to the show-jumping but not before a few heart-stopping moments for seventh placed Bubby Upton and Australian Sarah Clark whose Cola and LV Balou Jeanz respectively were sent to the holding box for a closer look.

There were three withdrawals before the Final Horse Inspection: Cathal Daniels and Rioghan Ria who had been in 17th place after cross country, Michael Owen and Bradeley Law in 21st, and Kate Shapland’s Uris Cavalier in 31st.

The first portion of lower placed riders will jump starting at 11:30am  and the final session of top 20 to decide who will take the trophy home will start at 2:30pm.
