New Zealand’s Caroline Powell is currently rocking the CCI3*-S at the Burnham Market International, leading the class on board Rock Midnight with a score of 25.9. With the dressage phase complete for half the class, China’s Alex Hua Tian is in second place riding Don Geniro (27.3) and Gemma Tattersall riding Flash Cooley is in third, close behind on 27.8.

World Number One Oliver Townend is currently in fourth place on board Miss Cooley and he kicks off the second day of the class as the first in this class with 2019 Le Mondial du Lion 6-Year-Old Championship runner-up Cooley Rosalent

Oliver is also riding several horses in the CCI4*-S but his ‘A-team’ of Ballaghmor Class and Cooley Master Class are happily settled in Kentucky, as he explained to Hilary Manners

Oliver is currently in 12th place of the CCI4*-S Section B on Tregilder, who was initially slated to fly to Kentucky but is running at Burnham Market instead.

 

   Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo in the CCI4*-S

 

This class is led by the 2019 Burghley winning combination Pippa Funnell and MGH Grafton Street, currently on a score of 25.4. Izzy Taylor riding Hartacker are in second (26.9) and Ros Canter riding Lordships Graffalo are in third (27.1).

Ros Canter re-starts the class on Saturday with Rehy Royal Diamond heading down the centreline first and her top horse Allstar B, who appears with Ros' superstar groom Sarah Charnley in the video below, is also competing in the CCI4*

 

   Piggy March and Dargun

 

The CCI4*-S Section C is dominated by Piggy March who holds the top three places on Brookfield Inocent (25.9), Dargun (26.9) and Fonbherna Lancer (29.1). "It's just good to be back out" says Piggy in the video interview below

Three sections of BE100 completed all phases today with Gemma Tattersall riding Chilli Rocks, following up their win at the South of England last week with a win in the BE100 Section E.

The BE100 Section E was won by Nicole Mills riding In A Nutshell and the BE100 Section F taken by Ruby Dean riding Jewel

One Novice section was run with Sara Chittleburg winning on board Swiss Maid

The CCI3* and CCI4* dressage continues today while more Novice and the Intermediate classes also complete their sections
