Camphire International Horse Trials 2020 cancelled

This year’s SemaLease Camphire International Horse Trials & Country Fair, due to take place from the 29th July – 2nd August, has been cancelled

"We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to the Competitors, Exhibitors, Sponsors and Spectators who were due to attend the Event, but also to us as Organisers and Landowners" say the organisers of the event which also hosts an FEI Nations Cup competition

"This is not a decision we have taken lightly – Camphire, the most recent winner of the Best Irish International Event Award at the David Foster Injured Riders Fund Ball, is a hugely important Event for the Irish equestrian community and the local economy"

"However, we need to prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved. We explored other ways to keep various competition elements, but the restrictions due to the Covid 19 crisis would make it impossible for us to stage the Event this year. With the safety of the local community, all the riders and the many wonderful helpers and volunteers uppermost in our minds, it has been necessary to cancel.

We will be back for 2021 (28th July – 1st August) when we look forward to welcoming you all again at Camphire, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford"
