Dream Big wins Elite Eventer at RoR Awards

Eight off the track thoroughbred received accolades at the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) Awards on January 19th

The Elite Eventing Award went to Dream Big, after the nine-year-old mare accumulated the most British Eventing points during 2019. Owned, as she was in her racing days, by Magdalena Gut and now ridden by international event rider, Tom McEwen, Dream Big is living up to her name and is set to step up to four star level eventing in 2020.

“Dreamy raced 5 times beating 10 horses in total” says Tom on his Facebook page “The last race at Stratford over hurdles was recorded ‘prominent until stopped to virtually nil 5th, soon hopelessly tailed off, finished eventually (33/1)’”

“Her next athletic performance was eventing where she Won the “Michael Tucker Memorial Cup” at Gatcombe twice, and this year got her act together in dressage to win this Retraining of Racehorses Elite Eventing Award”

Tom and Dream Big finished fifth in the Retraining of Racehorses Championship at the 2019 Festival of British Eventing
