SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials has led the way in giving amateur riders the chance to compete in the unique atmosphere of one of Britain’s biggest and most prestigious horse trials alongside their sporting heroes. In 2017, more grassroots riders than ever before will ride at Blenheim in the Dodson & Horrell-sponsored Eventer Challenge classes.

All six Dodson & Horrell Eventer Challenges – the individual classes at 90cm and 100cm level, and the Pony Club and riding club classes at each height – are now full, and in some cases balloting has taken place. However, a wait-list will be held.

Evans Jumps Ltd, who builds the beautifully presented SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ three-star cross-courses, is preparing new fences for all the Dodson & Horrell Eventer Challenge classes this year, so the tracks will have a totally fresh look and feel.

Sam Horrell, CEO of Dodson & Horrell, said: “The Eventer Challenge at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is one of the highlights of our sponsorship portfolio and is a real family occasion for the Horrells, as most of us attend.

“We are proud to be able to give riders the opportunity to compete at this prestigious event, which seems to get bigger and better each year.  The team spirit of the competitors is great to see and it is such a fun competition for us to be involved with.  We look forward to welcoming everyone in September and the winning teams will definitely be worthy winners in such a hotly contested competition.”
