Germany wins team gold at FEI Eventing European Championship 2025

Team podium 2025 FEI Eventing European Championship at Blenheim Palace | Gold Germany, silver Ireland, bronze France | An Eventful Life
Team podium with gold for Germany, silver for Ireland and bronze for France

Team Germany, who last won European team gold on their home ground of Luhmuhlen in 2019, is back on top of the podium once again, securing team gold at the Agria FEI Eventing European Championship 2025 at Blenheim Palace.

Michael Jung riding fischerChipmunk, Malin Hansen-Hotopp riding Carlitos Quidditch K, Jerome Robine riding Black Ice and Libussa Lubekke riding Caramia 34 took a decisive win on a score of 124.9 penalties. They finished 37 penalties ahead of Ireland, who celebrated their first European medal in 30 years, climbing from seventh place after dressage to claim silver on 161.9 penalties, while France completed the podium, taking bronze on 167.5.

The win was very special, said Michael Jung, who also took the Individual silver medal, being on British soil – a country so strong in eventing - at the historic venue of Blenheim Palace. And while the home side Britain, who have taken team gold at the past two European Championships, did not have the team result they had hoped for after a difficult day on Saturday's cross country, they did secure the individual gold medal (Laura Collett riding London 52) and individual bronze (Tom McEwen riding JL Dublin).
