Fluttering over the jumps on the final day - Warren and Silvia at Burghley
Warren Lamperd was the only Australian rider to complete at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials this year and his 17-year-old mare Silvia produced the best round of Sunday’s first show jumping session, adding just four penalties
Silvia may not have been the fastest on cross country but the gleaming grey mare who popped over the fences with her ears pricked all the way around the course attracted plenty of fans during the competition
On Sunday she certainly pulled up bright and breezy from her steady run around the Burghley Estate with Warren having some problems holding her as we caught up after the final phase
