Pia Leuwer leads at Military Boekelo

Pia Leuwer rides Jard to lead after the first day of dressage at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup CCIO4*-L at Military Boekelo (NED) 2025 | An Eventful Life

Germany’s Pia Leuwer, riding as an individual competitor, tops the leaderboard after the first day of dressage at Military Boekelo-Enschede. Riding her thirteen-year-old Polish black gelding Jard, she scored 28.0 with Britain’s Izzy Taylor riding the ten-year-old grey gelding SBH Big Wall and Switzerland’s Robin Godel riding Grandeur de Lully CH sharing equal second place on a score of 28.5.

Australia’s Kevin McNab riding Wilfred Lancer is currently in 19th place and Katja Weimann riding Tullibards You Make Me Feel is in 39th while New Zealand’s Tim Price has Brookfields Future News in 29th place. Tim will be back on Friday morning as one of the nine individual competitors left to go, riding Garcon, before the team rotations begin their dressage, when we are likely to see some changes at the top of the leaderboard (find out more about the teams here)

In the Dutch National Championship, Gert Jan Heinen is currently on top with his fourteen-year-old grey gelding Goliath, currently in 18th place with 31.9 penalty points
