They say that when you’re hot, you’re hot and that’s certainly the case for the 2019 Badminton winner, Piggy French

Competing at the Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials Piggy currently leads the CCI-S2* Section A riding First Lancer (20.6), the CCI-S3* Section C on Brookfield Quality (25.1) and the CCI-S3* Section D on Calling Card (25.5)

William Fox-Pitt's Georgisaurous floats across the ground

While she holds the lead by several penalties in the Section A ahead of John-Paul Sheffield and Future Gravitas (24.9), it is closer in the other two sections and originally William Fox-Pitt riding Georgisaurous stole the march on Piggy in Section D, with a 23.6 first posted but later amended to 25.7.

      Molly Faulkner and Classic Affair

Both of these horses showed real quality of paces and were beautifully ridden as you can see in the video below, along with a snippet of Molly Faulkner riding Classic Affair in the Section C, which incorporates the NAF British Junior Championship

17-year-old Molly leads the NAF British Junior Championship after the first phase, currently in third place overall on a score of 26.6, behind young rider Bubby Upton on Cola III who, despite an unwanted flying change, is in second place with a score of 26.3 in the CCI-S3* Section C

Helen Witchell broke Piggy’s hold on proceedings in the international classes by leading the CCI-S2* Section B on board Castlerichmond William with a score of 26.2
