RIP Quarrycrest Echo

“Desperately sad to hear the news on Quarrycrest Echo. Red was an unbelievable horse for me and really got me back to top level again, taking Jayne and I, and all the team to so many amazing places. It's such a shame for him and all his new connections that he won't get the opportunity to do the same for them. RIP my dear friend, you will be much missed” Piggy March’s Facebook page

Piggy March’s WEG team gold winning horse, the 13-year-old Quarrycrest Echo (Red), who was sold last December to Japan to be ridden by Toshiyuki Tanaka, has been put down due to a gastro-intestinal disease

Piggy and Quarrycrest Echo competed at the 2017 FEI European Eventing Championships at Strzegom in Poland, before taking team gold and 10th place individually at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
