Ros Canter expecting first child

A relaxing moment at Badminton for Ros and Chris

The current FEI Eventing World Champion Ros Canter and her partner Chris McAleese are expecting their first baby in 2019

Ros, who has just celebrated her 33rd birthday, had an outstanding year in 2018, starting with third place at Badminton CCI4* on Allstar B, followed by third at Luhmuhlen CCI4* with Zenshera.

Zenshera was also runner up at Millstreet, and finished Ros’ eventing season off with fifth place in the CCI4* at Les Etoiles de Pau, while Las Vegas gave her a first taste of the indoor Eventing Masters, taking the runner up spot in both Stuttgart and Stockholm. But the highlight of the year was taking team and individual gold medals on board Allstar B at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon

Ros finished the eventing season as World Number Two in the FEI rankings, with her horses Allstar B and Zenshera taking the top two spots on the British Eventing points winning table. Although Ros will be having a quieter year in 2019, her stable of talented horses will be kept ticking over for a big one in 2020

"We are really excited to be expecting our first baby together” says Ros “My owners and sponsors have all been so supportive and we have plans in place for all of the horses. Allstar B and Zenshera will be enjoying a quieter year doing some dressage, with the plan of coming out ready to kick on in 2020"
