Support for British riders through Horse Trials Support Group

Do you have future team potential?

The Horse Trials Support Group (HTSG) are asking British Riders who are not receiving funding from any formal organisation to apply for funding to assist them in the 2017 season.

Founded in 1978 for private supporters committed to aiding and funding training and development of talented riders for Britain's three-day event teams, HTSG has funded a scholarship for many years to assist up and coming British riders in areas such as training and travel. In 2017 they are once again looking to provide financial support to a British rider or riders with an aim to improve their potential or team inclusion in 2017.

HTSG recently announced Ginny Elliott MBE as their new Chairman, taking over from Rosemary Barlow who stepped down this year. Ginny, winner of 16 World, European and Olympic medals and a previous HTSG scholar, will lead the new committee of Spencer Sturmey, Fi Boughton, Jan Martin, Jane Hamilton, Margie Gibb and Karen Bartlett. Committee representatives from British Eventing and World Class are currently vacant, but will be filled in early 2017.

The new committee will welcome applications for rider funding until 15 January 2017 - further information can be found here
