Irish eventing riders are racing their way to the 2018 World Equestrian Games

14 Team Ireland Equestrian and Eventing Ireland Members will take to the race track at Dundalk Stadium to help raise funds for their High-Performance Squads and the senior athletes’ journey to the FEI Tryon World Equestrian Games later this year.

The World Equestrian Games is the first opportunity for the Irish Eventing team to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the Event Riders Challenge Race is the last race on the card in Dundalk Stadium on Wednesday, the 28th of March 2018. Team Ireland Equestrian Sponsors and Dundalk based company, Horseware Ireland, have kindly agreed to be the title sponsors for the race.

Sally Corscadden, Eventing High-Performance Director says that the purpose is to raise important funds for the eventing team heading to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA in September

“We are taking off our dressage tails, shortening our stirrups and putting on our racing goggles! It is another fun showcase for our wonderful supporters, and at the same time something exciting and great fitness training for the athletes.  After the successful Eventing Demo Tour fundraiser last month, we cannot wait to show the racing community what we can do!!”

Sally and 13 other eventing riders including Senior High-Performance squad members Declan Cullen, Cathal Daniels, Aiden Keogh, Brian Morrison and Michael Ryan will be taking part

Dundalk Stadium is provisionally booked for 180 people. Tickets and tables can be purchased through the Eventing Ireland website. Hospitality package is €65 per person including admission, race card and three course meal. It sounds like a hoot!
