Oliver Townend BE Leading Rider for fifth year

Oliver Townend has finished the UK eventing season as the British Eventing Top Rider for the fifth consecutive year, winning the Tony Collins Award

Oliver finishes the season as the BE Top Rider on a total of 1,531 BE Points accumulated from 157 starts in the 2018 season. During that time Oliver has taken 19 wins and a further 60 top ten placings, including wins at the Land Rover Kentucky CCI4* on Cooley Master Class, the British Eventing Seven Year Old CIC2* Championship at Osberton International Horse Trials on Weston Goodfella and the CIC2* and CIC3* at Burgham International on Tregilder and Ballaghmor Class respectively.

 

 

As in 2017, Izzy Taylor ended the season in second place on a total of 1,439 British Eventing points from 194 starts, having had a strong finish to the season both overseas at Les Etoiles de Pau in France, where she placed 11th on Call Me Maggie May and closer to home at Osberton International where she won both the CCI1* on MBF Harley Rebel, and the CCI2* on Conguistador II. Earlier in the year Izzy also took the win at Bramham International CIC3* on Be Touchable and has had strong results at all levels throughout the season

 

 

Gemma Tattersall takes third place with 1,106 BE Points. Gemma also had good results at Pau with second place on Pamero 4 and was part of the gold winning British team at the FEI World Equestrian Games on Arctic Soul
