Alnwick Ford (2) Horse Trials 2025 cross country videos
Autumn eventing is here and, while Alnwick Ford (1) International ran in steamy conditions during Britain’s unusually hot spell in June, the forecast is looking much more like ‘normal’ eventing this weekend in Northumberland!
It has been an action packed few weeks of competition in England recently with Defender Burghley CCI5* and the FEI European Championships at Blenheim Palace so the top riders who often frequent Alnwick Ford with their younger horses are no doubt having a well-deserved rest. But there is still plenty happening across the classes this weekend, with sections running from BE80 to Open Novice plus GOBE 80 and 90.
The Open Novice has a small number of competitors including the Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Diamond, a horse previously ridden by the well-known Ian Stark and now piloted by Daisy Job, who is re-routing from the abandoned event at Allerton Park last weekend. Harry Mutch is also riding in the Open Novice on board Ralph and has Flirtation in the Novice, also running on Saturday, alongside other locally based riders Sara Bowe, Jack Mantel and Sebastian Roldan Olivera.
