Following on from our first visit to the Solihull Riding Club in the West Midlands in May, where Emily King romped home with two wins including the Open Novice, we’ll be back for the Aspen Cooling Solihull Horse Trials (2) on 23rd and 24th August.

The event will host classes from BE80 to Intermediate Novice alongside BE GO classes at 80, 90 and 100cm with the Novice classes held on Sunday. Entries are open now, with a ballot date of 5th August and you can find out more here

Organisers BEDE Events, who took over the running of British Eventing competitions at Solihull last year, say that “We continue with changes and improvements to all courses. A mix of portable and permanent fences. The track will run mainly on grassland with some wooded areas. Inviting fences fair to horses. The ground will be aereovated if necessary.

All phases within 2 minutes’ walk from the lorry park (even for slow coaches!) and the dressage warm up has excellent going and improved space. Show jumping phase will be on a surface”

As with all BEDE Events, there are special prizes and points on offer for the Agria 100 League and Eco Voltz League plus Highest Placed ROR and the Highest Placed Amateur. You can also take advantage of the BEDE Loyalty Card – attend five BEDE Events in the 2025/2026 season and get your sixth Start Fee free.
