Bishop Burton College will once again welcome competitors for its first eventing competition of 2026 at the Bishop Burton (1) Horse Trials, taking place on 30th and 31st May.

Entries are now open for the East Yorkshire competition that hosts national level British Eventing affiliated classes from BE90 to Open Intermediate, plus GO BE 90 & 100 and Under 18 classes at BE90, BE100 and Novice levels.

“Alongside top-class British Eventing action, visitors can enjoy a fantastic range of attractions, including family-friendly activities, delicious food and drink, and opportunities to explore our stunning campus” say the organisers “Whether you're a horse enthusiast, a prospective student, or simply looking for a great day out, there’s something for everyone. Come and experience the excitement, community spirit, and first-class hospitality that make this event a highlight of our annual calendar!”

The BE90, 100 and GO BE classes will take place on Saturday with more BE100 sections on Sunday, running alongside the Novice and Intermediate sections, including the Open Intermediate.

As always, the cross country courses at Bishop Burton Horse Trials are designed and built by British Eventing Platinum builder and B List Professional Designer Joe Weller, offering inviting courses designed to give confidence at all levels as well as asking the right questions at the higher levels using the best of the College's undulating parkland.

Dressage takes place on flat, grassed arenas while the showjumping is held on the large outdoor surfaced arena with adjoining warm-up area.

Entries are now open with a ballot date of May 5th – get those entries in!
