Defender Bramham Horse Trials entries open

Entries are open for the 2026 Defender Bramham International Horse Trials (11th – 14th June) and the lists are already filling for the popular West Yorkshire event.

With just two big classes, the CCI4*-L and CCI4*-S, Bramham is all about quality, not quantity. The National Under 25 Championships are also held at Bramham as part of the CCI4*-S, another reason that this event is one of the highlights of the British Eventing calendar. This year in particular, with the FEI World Under 25 Championship taking place in Millstreet in July, the winner of the U25 class at Bramham will be in the spotlight.

Winners of the CCI4*-L here in recent years read like a Who’s Who of eventing with Bubby Upton, Harry Meade, Pippa Funnell and Kitty King among the victors and it is extremely popular with international riders, as witnessed by other past winners, Germany’s Julia Krajewski (riding Chipmunk, no less), Japan’s Yoshi Oiwa and New Zealand’s Andrew Nicholson.

This year sees a change of course designer with Andrew Heffernan stepping into the role which will provide an extra ‘frisson’ for the riders as they tackle a completely new course and there are some fabulous new innovations in the hospitality area, with the Pol Roger Members’ Enclosure ‘undergoing a huge transformation with added elegance and indulgence’

We can’t wait to see the list of riders and horse after the Ballot Date of May 19th and film them all out on cross country!
