Epworth (3) Horse Trials 2025 Cross Country Videos
Epworth Equestrian will host the Epworth (3) Horse Trials on 30th and 31st August and, although it’s their third event of the year, we will be having our first ever visit to the 100-acre site near Doncaster, on the border of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, to film all competitors on cross country.
The venue will host classes from BE80 to Open Novice alongside BE GO classes at 80, 90 and 100cm with Open Under 18 sections for the BE80, 90, 100 and Open Novice levels. Entries are open now with a ballot date of 5th August
The Novice courses, designed and built by Lloyd Hunt, were a new introduction for this venue at Epworth (2) in June when well-known local rider Lizzie Baugh took wins in both the Novice classes and Jess Corser claimed the Open Novice. Ros Canter, Hayden Hankey and Storm Straker are other top riders that frequent the venue offering cross country on sandy permanent pastureland where every effort is made to make the going as good as possible.
“Varied and well-presented fences create flowing and educational courses at all levels” say the organisers “It is ideal for young horses and those choosing to move up a level; there are plenty of feature fences with alternatives and an inviting natural water complex”
