Piggy March and Cooley Goodwood have followed up their win in the Open Intermediate at Thoresby Park in March with a win in the Advanced Intermediate at the Aspen Cooling Osberton International (1) Horse Trials on Friday. And, keeping with the Thoresby trend, Piggy’s ride Fenizio, who took second place in the Open Novice at Thoresby also took a second place at Osberton, this time in the Open Intermediate.
Piggy was in good company in the Advanced Intermediate with Ros Canter and Izilot DHI taking second place and Sarah Bullimore in third on Corouet while it was Gemma Stevens who was on a roll in the Open Intermediate sections, winning the Section C on Pru Dawes’ Flash Cooley ahead of Piggy and taking second place on Cooley Park Muze in the Section C behind Izzy Taylor and Retouchable.
The first of two International events run by BEDE Events held on the Osberton Estate, Osberton (1) features a CCI2*-S and CCI3*-S plus CCI2*-Pony with the CCI3*-S currently led by Helen Dodds riding Toledo R, the CCI2*-S led by Emily Lawson riding Faerlie Similar and the Pony Section led by Annabel Ridgway riding Galtee Kassy Cashel Girl after dressage.
