It was a very good Friday at the Agria Oasby (2) Horse Trials with riders and horses kicking off their long Easter weekend with a run around the new courses set by Stuart Buntine.

While the new format Oasby (2) is aimed at grassroots competitors, there were several ‘pros’ out there with their young horses. Sarah Bullimore, well-known for her skill in bringing on the youngsters, many that are homebred, did the double in the BE90 Section C with Jersey Fuschias winning on an impressive score of 21.3 and Zebedee Zee taking second place (24.8).

Alongside the three sections of BE90, there were two sections of BE80 with Lizzie Bateman riding Ludos Rebel and Emily Hingely riding Noble Topman taking top honours while Kerry Dicken riding Koblenz WV claimed the BE100 Open Section G and Molly Barker riding Cevin Cooper took the BE100 Open Section H.

With the event running just days, Easter Saturday offers similar class levels with the addition of a BE100 Open U18, GO BE classes at 80, 90 and 100cm and a Pony Trial 100.

We’ll be back next week with a full wrap up across the classes and of course we’re filming all competitors on cross country at Oasby (2) – order your full cross country video here.
