The 20206 Larkhill Horse Trials is ready to roll with three days of British Eventing competition running from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th April. This year the Intermediate Novice, Novice and Open Novice classes run on Friday alongside BE90 and BE100, Saturday sees more BE100 and Novice classes, including an Open Novice U18 and Pony Trial while Sunday sees more BE90 and BE100 competitors including GO BE classes.
The Larkhill Racecourse on Salisbury Plain hosts the event, and a new cross country design team is in place this year with Andy Heffernan designing and Dominic Moore the builder, so it will be interesting to see the changes made.
Top riders such as William Fox-Pitt (Patron of Larkhill), Harry Meade, David Doel, Austin O’Connor and Alex Hua Tian are bringing their up-and-coming horses and Australia’s Sammi Birch, a winner here last year with Parkfield Pumpkin, returns with Lone Star, a new ride for Sammi this year, in the Novice.
