The 2026 British Eventing National Championships reached a thrilling conclusion at Hartpury University and College on Sunday, with Kitty King, Henry Dove and Tom Jackson crowned national champions following a week of top-class competition.

The Fairfax Saddles British Novice Championship, Fairfax Saddles British Restricted Novice Championship and Hartpury University and Hartpury College British Intermediate Championship were all decided on the final day, while the British Open Championship, contested within the NAF CCI4*-S, was won by Zara Tindall and Class Affair on Saturday.

Kitty King and Kilcoltrim Cooley produced a faultless performance across the jumping phases to claim the Fairfax Saddles British Novice Championship on their dressage score of 25.5 and Tom Jackson and My Star Turn Took the Hartpury University and Hartpury College British Intermediate Championship, holding their position at the head of the leaderboard through Sunday's cross-country finale while Henry Dove and Godsend Du Givre converted their overnight advantage into victory in the Fairfax Saddles British Restricted Novice Championship, finishing on 26.3.

The two international long-format classes also reached an exciting conclusion on Sunday following Saturday’s cross-country, with Lottie Royle and Yasmin Ingham claim international victories.

Lottie Royle riding Cooley Django produced the decisive performance of the day to win the NAF CCI3*-L on 32.7 while 2022 World Champion (who had to hand her crown over Michael Jung this weekend at the 2026 World Championships Aachen) Yasmin Ingham and Club Class produced a faultless performance across all three phases to take the NAF CCI2*-L on their opening dressage score of 25.6 (our full report across all the classes coming up soon!)

Phillip Cheetham, Equine Director at Hartpury, said: "It's been a fantastic week of eventing at Hartpury and today's British Championship conclusions have provided a brilliant finish. Congratulations to Kitty, Henry and Tom on three thoroughly deserved national titles.

"The competition has been incredibly strong, and we've seen plenty of movement in the leaderboards as riders have tackled the different phases across the weekend. That is what makes championship eventing so exciting – nothing is guaranteed until the final horse has crossed the finish line.

"We also have to congratulate Zara Tindall on her fantastic CCI4*-S and British Open victory on Saturday. Class Affair was superb, and it was a very special result for Zara, Catherine Rivett and the whole team.

"We are incredibly grateful to NAF for their continued support of Hartpury and British Eventing, and to Fairfax Saddles for their support of the British Novice and Restricted Novice Championships. Their backing helps us stage high-quality competition and provide important opportunities for riders at every level of the sport.

"We are incredibly proud of the championship sport we've seen throughout the week."
