Aspen Cooling Osberton (2) International Horse Trials cross country videos
New Zealand’s Ginny Thomasen riding Katchafire leads the Rathbones CCI3*-L at Aspen Cooling Osberton (2) International Horse Trials after Thursday’s dressage. Ginny and Katchafire produced a score of 25.6 to take the lead from lunchtime leader Bubby Upton and Auckland 7, now in second place (26.3) while Sarah Bullimore riding her homebred Corouet is in third (26.8).
Oliver Townend has stormed into the lead of the Arena Saddles CCI2*-L riding Thunder Bird Z on a score of 26.3 ahead of Dani Stewart-Richardson riding Ottentik Nobility (27.9) and Lizzie Baugh riding KBIS Star Struck in equal third with Francois Heyns riding Netherwood Link (28.5).
Francois is riding for Namibia, a country that doesn’t often get a mention in eventing (well done Francois!) but a country we mention a lot is of course Australia and Sammi Birch is flying the flag just outside of the top ten in this class with Hamilton Cooley in 11th place and her 2* winner here last year, Parkfield Pumpkin, coming up tomorrow.
The Agria CCI1* also saw some of the field in the dressage arena on Thursday afternoon with Elizabeth Barratt producing the only sub-30 score, leading the way on board Postman with a score of 29.50.
