An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at Oasby (2) Horse Trials – order or view videos here
While the mid-week Oasby (1) Horse Trials in March is very much geared for the professionals, Oasby (2) on 25th and 26th April is aimed at grass roots riders looking for a first season run. However, the professionals do love this event too!
Classes run from BE80 to BE100 Open, including BE80, 90 and 100 classes for Under 18’s, with classes at all levels on both days. BEDE Leagues are back in force in 2026 with the Eco Voltz League, Agria 100 League and prizes for Highest Placed Amateur, Highest Placed RoR and Highest Placed EHOA Member. You do need to be registered in advance so check out the new criteria for 2026 Leagues and prizes on the BEDE website.
The Stuart Buntine designed cross country course will follow a different route from Oasby (1) and parts of the course that were not previously accessed for these levels are now available, one of the advantages of splitting the grassroots Oasby event from the pros.
The course will also use the valley so the terrain will be more undulating than the courses for Oasby (1) and Oasby (3) later in the year. As always, BEDE will be taking good care to offer the best possible ground for this point in the year
Oasby (1) entries are now open with a Ballot Date of 31st March.
