An Eventful Life is filming all competitors at Oasby (2) Horse Trials – order or view cross country videos here
The world is abuzz with action at CCI5* competitions around the world at the moment as we bounce from Adelaide last weekend to Kentucky this week and the big Badminton coming up soon after. But life still goes on and competition at the lower levels also still goes on – and who knows, we may be spotting some future 5* champions at these events!
This weekend it’s also time for Oasby (2) Horse Trials which, with classes from BE80 to BE100, it is quite different from Oasby (1) which saw most of the big guys getting an early season run under their belts on their top horses. But that doesn’t mean to say you won’t see big names this weekend, with one of Badminton’s hot favourites, Oliver Townend, lining up on several of his young horses.
Saturday is dominated by the BE100 classes, including two BE100 Open sections and the Under 18 classes are a feature on Sunday. BEDE Events have several leagues running throughout the year so this is yet another good chance to gather prize points and they haven’t forgotten those ‘unsung heroes’ – the lorry drivers (where would be without them?) – who receive a free coffee/tea token.
