Sara Bowe and her 10-year-old Irish-bred gelding Rinwood MJ had a very good run at Oasby (1) Horse Trials, finishing third in an Open Intermediate section, but they did even better on Friday at Lincolnshire Horse Trials, taking the top prize in the British Eventing Support Trust Advanced Intermediate.

Finishing on their dressage score of 32.3, they were the only combination to produce a double clear cross country on the Joe Weller designed track, although second placed Laura Fenwick riding Manakin came close, adding just 0.4 time penalties on cross country.

The two Emerald Green Horse Feeds Open Intermediate (OI) classes were also contested on Friday with Alice Casburn riding Topspin winning the OI Section E and Holly Richardson taking the Section F riding Ballyneety Silver Service.

The BE90 and BE100 sections come out to play on Saturday at the Lincolnshire Showgrounds and the big guns return on Sunday with more Open Intermediate and Intermediate sections featuring some of the world’s best combinations, including Ros Canter riding Lordships Graffalo and lots of up-and-coming stars in the Novice sections.
