Solihull (1) Horse Trials 2025 cross country videos
The first day of competition at Solihull (1) Horse Trials sponsored by Aspen Cooling saw BE80, 90 and 100 competitors out in force and even enjoying a little bit of the wet stuff that has been in short supply recently.
The BE90 classes dominated the day with five sections in play, including one we were keeping a particular eye on. The BE90 Section A was dedicated to Owner/Riders with special cash prizes on top of the BE prizemoney thanks to the Event Horse Owners Association. Our congratulations go to Katie Wrennall riding Townranny Junior, who won the class on their dressage score of 26.5 ahead of Charlotte Young riding Brucky Boy (30) and Stephanie Hill riding Bazaars Texan (31.8). Katie not only receives the extra prizemoney but also a cross country video from us – well done!
The Under 18 competitors tackled three of their own sections too on Saturday with Lottie Turnell riding Drumbore Sibon winning the BE90 Open U18, Charlie Britnell riding Dakota Snow Chief taking the BE80 Open U18 and Bella Freebody riding Lisheen Eclipse on top of the BE100 Open U18.
Tomorrow the U18’s compete in their own Open Novice section alongside three more Novice sections, including an Open Novice with some good up and coming talent, and four BE100 sections.
We’ll be back on cross country filming all competitors and bring you the full wrap up report and photos from Solihull (1) across the sections next week!
