Swalcliffe Park Horse Trials 2023 Preview

An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country – order or view videos here

The centrally located venue at Swalcliffe Park Equestrian Centre in Oxfordshire has drawn plenty of competitors this month, with the event saying (no doubt with some relief after the state of entries this year) “We’re FULL! Thank you for all your support!”

This weekend’s event (7th & 8th October) will run the Novice classes (Intermediate Novice, Novice, Open Novice and U18) on Saturday along with a BE90 Open section and more BE90 and BE100 on Sunday.

As the season draws to a close in the UK this month, Swalcliffe Park is the perfect opportunity for amateurs and professionals alike to get a good last competition run in for the younger horses and think about what to focus on with them in the off-months.

It is a popular and educational cross country venue, designed by David Evans and Richard Taylor, and several names heading to bigger events soon with their top horses are bringing some of their younger horses for a run around.

Mollie Summerland has her Le Lion selected horse Mojo in the Open Novice, Oliver Townend has several entries and New Zealand riders Muzi Pottinger, Tayla Mason and Ginny Thomasen are among those competing.

We’ll be filming all competitors on cross country and don’t forget to keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram stories for video snippets and more!
