22 year old Will Furlong and the 10 year old Collien P 2 have won the 2017 British Eventing Britannia 3* League

The league, open to British riders who have not started for GB at a senior European or World Championships or Olympic Games, takes into account BE points awarded at British CIC and CCI3* classes plus any Nations Cup appearances and provides up-and-coming British riders with a focus each year

Will and Collien P2 secured the win with a total of 201 BE points ahead of second placed Gina Ruck and her own Rehy Too and Caroline Clarke with Touch Too Much and Hazel Towers with Simply Smart in equal third.

Will enjoyed a commanding lead of over 60 points thanks to fourth place in the home leg of the FEI Nations Cup CICO3* at Houghton International, a win in the Equi-Trek Bramham International CCI3* under 25 in June and sixth place at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International CCI3* this September.

As the winner Will receives a BE membership and horse season ticket for 2018 and, as the owner of the winning horse, takes home a beautiful bronze trophy thanks to Nigella Hall.

And if anyone is looking to support this already successful partnership, Will is actively seeking syndicate members for Collien P2 and says ‘anyone wanting to join the journey, please don't hesitate to get in contact!’
