2020 Tryon International Three-Day Event

The Australian International 3 Day Event may not be taking place from 12th – 15th November (although we do have all sorts of goodies coming up here on the website and on social media so that you don’t miss out on your Aus3DE fix completely) but there is a big International event happening in the USA during those dates to also keep the eventing world entertained

MARS Equestrian has just hopped on board, along with Buckeye Nutrition, as the title sponsor of the Tryon International Three-Day Event and 2020 USEF Eventing CCI4*-L National Championship set to take place at Tryon International Equestrian Centre (TIEC) in Mill Spring, N.C. from November 12-15, 2020.

Originally scheduled to be held at the Ocala Jockey Club but cancelled due to Covid-19, the MARS Equestrian Tryon International Three-Day Event is new to the calendar in 2020 and will feature CCI4*-S, CCI3*-L, and CCI2*-L competitions alongside the CCI4*-L.

The Buckeye Nutrition/USEF Eventing CCI4*-L National Championship will close out the 2020 national championship season for the discipline of eventing and is the only CCI4*-L to be hosted on the East Coast this year.

“This championship will provide an excellent opportunity for our eventing athletes to perform in an intense and competitive environment as they look ahead to a very important 2021 season” says Bill Moroney, CEO of US Equestrian.

Spectators will not be allowed on-site due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the event will be live streamed on USEF Network, beginning on Thursday, November 12th

Host of the 2018 World Equestrian Games, Tryon will see more than 80 combinations contest the CCI4*-L including Phillip Dutton, Boyd Martin, Clayton Fredericks and the in-form Liz Halliday-Sharp along with a raft of big names in US eventing – view the full list here
