Quirindi Eventing CCN Horse Trials 2025 XC Videos
Andrew Barnett was on a roll at Quirindi Eventing CCN over the Easter weekend, taking both the CCN4*-S and CCN3*-S classes.
After sadly having to recently retire his top horse, Go Tosca, Andrew Barnett is showing that he has some very good up-and-coming stars in the stable, with his horses Oscar Park Deluge and Chasing Great both taking wins at Quirindi.
Oscar Park Deluge led from start to finish to win the Boonoona Design CCN4* class, starting with the only sub-30 dressage score of 28.30, show jumping clear and then adding 13.6 time penalties on the Sunday afternoon cross country. They took the win on a final score of 41.90, just ahead of Emma Mason in both second and third places on Warrego Marco Polo (42.20) and KPH Kingfisher (46.0).
Andrew and Emma now both head to the big event at the Adelaide Equestrian Festival with Andrew riding Chasing Great in the CCI3*-L and Emma riding KPH Kingfisher in the CCI5*. And Andrew had the perfect prep run for Adelaide here at Quirindi with Chasing Great, the off the track thoroughbred started in eventing by New Zealand’s Monica Spencer, winning the Bundella Station CCN3*. They moved up from third place on Saturday to finish on their dressage score of 32.20 when overnight leaders Emma Bishop riding Bobby Dazzler and Niki Rose riding Dreamrush added a small number of cross country time penalties each to drop them to second and third.
Stephanie Commens riding Belcam CD took the Quirindi Plumbing CCN2* with the pair finishing on their dressage score of 30.40 while Ellen McCourt riding Crescendo R and Georgina Mutton riding Billagall Foxtrot took the Marsh Carney Saddlery CCN1* sections.
We’re also pleased to report that Taya Lee Aladdin, leaders of the Quirindi Plumbing EvA80 Section C on Saturday after starting on a fabulous dressage score of 15 continued on to a win, finishing on 21.4.
Tayla Clarke riding Tarcoola Boat Club, another stand-out combination on Saturday, leading the Quirindi Plumbing EvA80 Junior on a score of 18.30 after dressage and cross country also stayed on that score after showjumping to win their class – well done all!
