Denman Horse Trials 2025 Cross Country Videos
Stephanie Bender and APH Eclipse ‘eclipsed’ the rest of the field to take the win in the Marsh Carney Saddlery CCN1* at the 2025 Denman Horse Trials on Sunday.
Chralie Richardson riding the thoroughbred VH Wingman maintained his lead from Saturday’s dressage with a clear round in Sunday morning’s showjumping but Steph also jumped clear, moving from fifth after dressage into third place. When Charlie picked up penalties on cross country, Steph was ready to strike and, adding just 0.8 time on cross country gave her and APH Eclipse the win on a score of 33.20.
It was a close thing with Catherin Baxter riding Koko Bean adding 1.6 time to keep her second place (33.80) and Holly Brimblecombe riding Devereaux Kit Kat took third place (35.40) thanks to producing one of just two double clears on cross country in this class.
We’ve been keeping an eye on Hazel Shannon’s Callisto this weekend, the ‘baby’ homebred sired by Chilli Morning was having her first competition run and it was a very successful one. Hazel and Callisto, the first combination on today’s cross country at Denman Pony Club grounds came home double clear to finish on their Saturday score of 28.70 to win the Mobile GG Spot EvA65A.
Another top rider in the winner’s circle was Emma Bishop with her lovely chestnut CP Cherry Delight winning the Lady Godiva Equestrian EvA80A on their dressage score of 25.60.
