Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture sealed the deal on Sunday with a fast cross country round to win the Brittany Grovenor Photography CCI4*-S at the Tamworth International Eventing CCI. Leaders after Saturday’s dressage and showjumping, the experienced pair added just 2.8 time penalties to finish on 25.4.
They weren’t the fastest on cross country in the class with Shenae’s fiancé Sam Woods riding SS Eight Count adding just 1.8 time penalties to finish in second place on 33.6 while Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation matched Shenae’s time to move into third (35.4).
Andrew Cooper enjoyed a back-to-back win on board Sandhills Cristiano, taking the Manestream Media CCI3*-S here as a follow-up to their win at Tamborine CCI two weeks ago – this looks like a very exciting new ride for Andrew. And Sandhills Stud was in the frame in the CCI2*-S, this time as sponsor of the class won by another well-known breeder of eventing horses, Carlene Barton riding the homebred Henrik APH.
