A big jump for Callum Buczak at Aus3DE

The only double clear show jumping round in the RM Williams CIC3* at the Australian International 3 Day Event bumped Callum Buczakand his nine year old gelding Matavia Cheval into fourth place

Just 0.10 penalties kept him off the podium with Andrew Cooper taking third place on Lagoes Choice (73.40) while Callum and Matavia Cheval finished on 73.50

The pair started a bit off the pace in 14th place after dressage but had the third fastest clear round on cross country with just 7.2 time penalties and then finished with the cherry on top in the show jumping

“This has been a bit of a breakthrough for me” says Callum, who would also have had Matavia Cheval’s half brother, Joie Du Lys competing in Adelaide if injury hadn't prevented it
