Sam Griffiths may have been based in the UK for many years now but he is originally from near Melbourne in Victoria, Australia and he was home on a flying visit for Equitana in November.
While Sam was showing eventing fans his team bronze medal from Rio 2016 we caught up for a chat about next year, the departure of his Head Girl Imogen Mercer and why, although his wife Lucy loves coming to Australia, she is not a big fan of some of the Australian wildlife
"My initial goal in 2017 will be to go well at Badminton" says Sam, who won the big event in 2014 "Especially with the increased prize money!"
