Who is for the high jump at TRM Equestriad 2019

Will Shane Rose win at Equestriad? Or maybe Gemma Tinney?

It’s been a little while since we’ve personally been to Equestriad at Camden and we’re looking forward to seeing how things have grown in the past few years

It has become one of Australia’s biggest events with Shane Rose at the helm of a team who know how put on a great eventing competition along with quite a party. This year the venue at Camden Bicentennial Park hosts 19 classes from CCI4*-S down to EvA60 with the EvA60 and EvA80 heading out on cross country on Saturday while the rest of the classes run cross country on Sunday.

22 riders will be competing in the CCI4*-S class with their dressage taking place in the middle of the day on Saturday and show jumping in the early evening. Unlike previous years when Equestriad has run a little later in the month, this year it still has the benefit of daylight saving so the show jumping won’t be under lights.

However, spectators around the arena and those enjoying hospitality in the Gow Gates VIP marquee can still enjoy a drink, dinner and watch the 4* show jumping until 7pm before the Horsepower Human High Jump (we’ve heard that Shane Rose is a bit of a dab hand at this) followed by the live band, The Unwanteds, performing everyone’s favourite hits

Shane Rose and Hazel Shannon, who finished first and second in the CCN4*-S at Sydney Eventing Summer Classic will be battling it out again on Virgil and Willinga Park Clifford while Emma Bishop and CP Issey Miyake, who were third at Sydney, has again opted to start in the CCN4* class (which has 10 competitors) at Equestriad. But Stuart Tinney, who was absent from Sydney, will be in the CCI4*-S mix on the talented up and comers Celebration, Wanda and Leporis

Will Shane clean up again or will he be a bit busy running the event and drop the ball? Will Sir Mark Todd put in a sudden appearance or then again, could Shane win dressed as Gemma Tinney? Follow our updates on social media during the event and our daily reports to find out what goes down at Equestriad – not only one of the biggest but also one of Australia’s most fun events!
