An Eventful Life filmed all competitors on cross country at

Tamborine Equestrian Group ODE 2020 (Feb) - watch or view videos here

We were hoping to be filming at the Motorama TEG CCN ODE & 2020 Queensland State Eventing Championships but sadly, with the Queensland border still closed, it is not to be! We had a wonderful time there at the February event, before anyone had ever heard of Covid-19, and hope to return next year

In the meantime the event, which was originally to host the Queensland International 3 Day Event and was postponed from its original July date, is going ahead at Tamborine Equestrian Centre on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November running classes at National levels from EvQ65 to CCN3.5*

Matt Gaske and Andrew Cooper, both winners at TEG in February will be competing in the small CCN4* class, and Amilia Schooley, who earned such praise from Lucinda and Lissa Green for her cross country ride in Adelaide (watch that video and listen to the analysis here), is competing in the CCN3*

Spectators are not allowed at the event due to number restrictions, but we’ll be bringing you our full report next week

Just south of the Queensland border in NSW the Three Day Event at Quirindi is also finally going ahead this week.

While Tamborine has had ‘a nice drop of rain to dampen the dust’ Quirindi has had quite a deluge in the past week but, after several false starts, the event is still scheduled to run and starts today

The event, which takes place at Quirindi Racecourse, starts on Friday and will run classes from EvA60 to CCN4*, including a long format CCI3* and CCI2* which will help those in need of MER’s to run at Wallaby Hill, Robertson in December

We’re wishing both events a successful and enjoyable time; after so many attempts to get the off them off the ground, it’s great to see them going ahead and hope that the weather gods are kind …
