Good results at Melbourne and Quirindi CCI
The last couple of months have been dragging a touch after competing at Melbourne International 3 Day Event, which provided a great result for us. The Blair-Wellers’ Viennese (Vinnie) took fifth place in the CCI4*-L, despite the fact that the cross country was heavy going so Stuart took it easy, and the only clear showjumping round was a perfect finish!
Then in came the RAIN elsewhere too - it just won't leave us! That also resulted in Tamworth International Horse Trials being postponed from July to September, so we were hanging out for Quirindi FEI this weekend, which turned in another great result!
Stuart and Caruso led from start to finish to win the CCI3*-S and Fernhill Aisling Star took third place so a very good few days’ competition (and the sun shone!).
Sadly, it is time to let go the reins of our Mr. Reliable!
Competing successfully at 4* level, Viennese (Vinnie) has only just turned 12-years-old, is sound, brave, reliable and very well-schooled. Equestrian NSW Outstanding Achievement in Coaching Award
Stuart was delighted to receive the Equestrian NSW Outstanding Achievement in Coaching Award at the recent and very enjoyable Awards Night. As a Level 3 Eventing coach and Educator, this is a much appreciated recognition of his skills - thank you Equestrian NSW!
We also have another very coach back on board with Gemma returning to the fold in early October. With two UK eventing seasons under her belt, Gemma will return home with a wealth of knowledge to join us again here at Tinney Eventing.
