To start off HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Christmas Day at the Wischers!
2014 for me is going to be so exciting and jam packed full of incredible adventures. I'm equally excited and nervous (good nerves) for the year to come and ready to tackle it head first.
Drum and I are aiming to finish the year at 2* and Jasper and Chance (my 3 and 4 year olds) will be starting their eventing careers this year. Mum and I are also putting two of our mares back in foal. I start my second year in Psychology at university and my mum is also heading over to AMERICA to instruct! How cools that!? She'll be gone for a few weeks, so I might get her to do a blog that month in my spot for something different. She is an author though, so it'll probably be a massive and very detailed one.
During the next month it's all about preparation. I'm working six days a week during the summer to save up before the eventing season starts up as my shifts will become limited again. Drum and Chance are also getting ready for the seasons start at Ballarat Hickstead!
It probably doesn't seem that exciting to most reading this, but to me I just cannot wait! Not having competed Drum since Avenal 2012, and this being Chance's first event, it really is exciting!

I hope everyone is riding as much as they can in the beautiful sun (excluding Victorians, our summer is closer to a winter this year), soaking up their holidays and eating to their hearts content, and trying as many new things as possible.

As for new things, a good friend from work recently got me hooked on soy milk. If you're feeling a bit wild, go to your local coffee shop and order a ' vanilla chai soy latte' - it's quite fantastic and I'm about to go make one myself right now.

To finish up today I just want to shout out to my amazing mum - Felicity Wischer. Not only is she an author (A life worth riding is the first book, an emotional and heart warming story of Sandi Simons and all the women she has worked with during the years), an equine Bowen therapist and an instructor, she's also a beautiful human being who has helped me every step of the way achieve my dreams and lifted me up when I've fallen. My friends are constantly telling me how lovely and funny she is too!
