The FEI World Equestrian Games, created in 1990 are held every four years and are by far the largest equestrian event. In 2014, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy will be host to 8 World Championships, one of which is Para Equestrian Dressage
Dressage is now a Paralympic and World Equestrian Games discipline. The groups concerned are:
- paraplegics and equivalent,
- amputees and equivalent,
- blind and visually-impaired,
- cerebral palsy (disabled) and equivalent
The WEG competition involves Team and Individual Competitions cuminating in a Freestyle competition to music
