Back from the brink

Carlyon is taking his return to eventing all in his stride

Amy Brydon couldn’t keep the smile off her face as she walked her horse, Carlyon, back to her float after completing her cross country round in the EvA105 class at the recent Berrima Horse Trials. When we asked her if she had gone well she told us that ‘yes,' she had gone clear and then added the throw away line of ‘pretty good for a horse who nearly died.’

Of course we were curious to know more so after Amy had made her horse comfortable we sat her down and discovered just why a good cross country round was so important.

   Amy’s story

Amy and Carlyon pulled up from show jumping position to finish in fourth place at Berrima and they are now looking forward to getting back up to one star level by the end of the year.
