In addition to the opening of bids for the new FEI Eventing World Championship Under 25 starting in 2026, the FEI has also approved the creation of dedicated Youth Rankings in Eventing. The FEI Eventing World Youth Rankings will cover the age categories U25, Young Riders (YR) and Juniors (J) as defined in the FEI Eventing Rules.

During the in-person FEI Board meeting of the year in June, the FEI Eventing Committee Chair provided an update on the FEI Eventing U25 World Championship, which is being considered as part of the full revision of the Eventing Rules.

The aim of the Championship is to help bridge the gap between the Young Riders and Seniors levels, with the event organised annually and open to all nations. It will be held at CCI4*-S level with the Jumping test at the end as a long format competition.

The Board also approved the creation of the dedicated Youth Rankings in Eventing which will sit alongside the current FEI Eventing World Rankings for Seniors, which is updated monthly on a rolling basis.
