HIghlights from Richland Park Horse Trials

Take a look at some highlights from America’s Richland Park Horse Trials where Boyd Martin and Trading Aces won the CIC3* and Lauren Kieffer took out the CIC2* title riding RF Cosima.

The twisty course at Richland meant that no one in the CCI3* class managed to make the time over the Ian Stark designed course although Boyd, together with Will Faudree (Andromaque) were the closest both finishing ten seconds over the optimum time of 6.32.

Boyd said of Trading Aces “I was elated with him. I came here to try and have a crack at winning this thing … and I’m really fired up to get him competitive for a full three day event.”

Our own blogger, Kate Chadderton rode Collection Pass (Cole) was maybe a little disappointed with her dressage score but the pair went clear round the cross country course to finish 27th in the CIC3*. (Hopefully we’ll hear more about Kate’s weekend in her next blog)

Kate also rode in the CIC2*, finishing 12th on VS McCuan Civil Liberty, along with other Aussies Ryan Wood and another of our bloggers, Dom Schramm. Ryan finished fourth and eighth with Frankie and McLovin respectively while Dom finished ninth riding Cold Harbor.
