Saddle up with Laura Collett and Camouflage

Laura Collett and London 52 on the way to their first CCI5* win at Les Etoiles de Pau 2020

Ben Hobday and Laura Collett are two British eventing riders offering a different take on eventing horse ownership in 2021

While Ben is offering the ‘Shadow Man Experience’, where the syndicate is involved with the experienced Shadow Man II as he aims to step up to CCI5* in 2021, Laura is set to campaign an exciting young horse just imported from Germany

Camouflage is an athletic five-year-old gelding sourced by Laura from Peter Thomsen’s performance horse operation in Northern Germany, the very same yard that both of her current top rides London 52 and Mr. Bass came from.

Eventing enthusiasts can now buy a share in this young event horse sourced by Laura and imported from Germany by the Event Horse Owners Syndicate (EHOS) for just £65.00, with no ongoing financial commitment.

Camouflage is from the same yard that both London 52 and Mr. Bass were from in Germany

The ‘affordable event horse syndicate’ EHOS gives its owners the chance to experience what goes on behind the scenes as a leading event rider brings on and campaigns an exciting young event horse. The benefits of being an owner with EHOS and having a share in Camouflage include:

●          Weekly updates from Laura Collett on his progress and plans for the future

●          Training and competition videos

●          An annual yard visit to see your horse and Laura

●          A monthly newsletter with updates and information on all EHOS horses

●          The chance to see your horse compete at events and meet fellow owners

●          Priority access to EHOS training clinics with Laura

Camouflage arrived from Germany at the beginning of December and is being settled in at Laura’s Gloucestershire base where they will get to know each other before heading out to gain valuable experience at local competitions during the winter. During the purchasing process he stood out to Laura for his excellent mental attitude, athletic jump and impressive paces. Having only been jumped under a saddle a handful of times, he has plenty to learn but oozes raw ability.

“I’m delighted to have found such an exciting young horse for EHOS owners!” says Laura “I’ve had fantastic success with horses from Peter’s yard and it’s great to find a horse with such potential for EHOS. I’m so pleased to be part of something that opens up event horse ownership to more people and look forward to meeting the syndicate at the first yard visit”
