Vittoria Panizzon coming to Victoria

In our recent interview with Alec Lochore, he mentioned that the Italians may be worth watching at this year’s Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy. Certainly one Italian rider we love to watch is Vittoria Pannizon, the individual winner of the WEG Test Event in 2013 on her horse Merlot’s Magic.

Riding for Italy at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Vittoria finished 11th individually and she is currently ranked 13th in the world. As well as her win in the WEG Test Event last year, she also finished 5th in the CICO3* at Fontainebleau, 7th at Badminton and 8th at the European Championships in Malmo in 2013, all riding the remarkably athletic young grey horse Borough Pennyz

If you are near the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria on 26th January (Australia Day), you can do more than just watch Vittoria, you can train with her for the day. She will be holding a clinic at Gunnamatta, about 1 ½ hours from Melbourne with show jumping work in the morning and cross country training in the afternoon.

Don’t worry about not speaking Italian as Vittoria’s English is perfect! Although Italian by background (and rides for the Italian Airforce) Vittoria has been based in the UK for many years – to find out more listen to our interview with Vittoria in France last year

There are only three places for the clinic so get in quick. For more information contact Charlotte Littlefield on 0431 316 096 or by email [email protected]

For those of you who can’t be there, we will be covering the clinic in our 4* content next month
