A day of ups for some (read Sam) but downs for others made for a thrilling cross-country day at Burghley where the delightful American rider Sinead Halpin leads the pack.
With two Americans in first and second places, Clayton Fredericks in third, four Australians and four New Zealanders in the top 20, it is a cosmopolitan crowd leading the way going into cross country at Burghley.
Bill Levett, the only Australian rider to compete today, is currently in 8th place while British and New Zealand riders take the top three spots.
