The Drawn order for Badminton Horse Trials 2025 (May 7th - 11th) has been revealed with Britian’s Kirsty Chabert the first rider down centreline riding Classic VI.
There are four new Zealanders in the first 10 competitors (taking into account the Waitlisted and double entered competitors) with defending champions Caroline Powell and Greenacres Special Cavalier the second combination out, Tim Price riding Viscount Viktor at four, Badminton first-timer Samantha Lissington riding her first horse, Ricker Ridge Sooty at eight and Jonelle Price riding Grappa Nera at 10.
Caroline on High Time, Sam on Lord Seekonig and Tim on Vitali will also be the last three combinations in the draw.
British 5* legends Oliver Townend and Ballaghmor Class will be third out and Australia’s Sammi Birch riding Finduss PFB will also be early in the draw, currently in 18th while the only other Australian entry Samantha Cesnik will be mid-field with Graftango.
The latest withdrawals include China’s Alex Hua Tian with Jillsonne van Bareelhof although Alex still has another entry in Chicko, 17th on the drawn order and last year's runner-up, Lucy Latta has also withdrawn RCA Patron Saint. Follow the latest withdrawals and acceptances here
World Number one, Tom McEwen riding JL Dublin and Ros Canter on Lordships Graffalo will be crowd favourites in 44th and 58th places while World Champion Yasmin Ingham, another Badminton first-timer, riding Rehy DJ, follows Tom in 45th.
Harry Meade still has four horses listed but one of those, Et Hop Du Matz, is on the Drawn Order for Defender Kentucky CCI5*
Tiana Coudray will be the first out for the USA, riding Cancaras Girl in 25th spot
